Emo style: Some Information on This Quirky Style!
Style is cyclical, we all know that. For example, those disgusting
bell bottoms that your mother and father wore are now considered vintage
clothing and could easily sell for as much as $100 online and at thrift
and vintage clothing stores. But fashion trends come and go and how do
you decide which style is right for you and which style is supposed to
be retained? I mean there are thousands of trends that come and go and
who know if the Emo style will remain around to be considered as a
vintage fashion trend!
But for the newbie’s out there, Emo style is a style of fashion that is
closely related to the same style of music. Now you may have heard the
Emo style of music as performed by popular bands like Green Day but you
may not have realized that the same style of music has spawned such a
popular fashion trend! At present, most teenagers are in the sway of the
trend and there are several simple rules that you have to follow before
you can be considered an Emo devotee.
- Jet black hair is one of the must have trends of Emo styles. If
you have jet black hair, great! But you will need to dye you hair
black if you want to be know as an Emo style devotee. You can just
as easily do this at home with a bottle of dark black hair dye and
then rinse out the excess to create the hair color. If you have
treatments carried out in your hair like chemical straightening then
do be careful and get the process done professionally.

styles are really important. Most Emo hair styles are infinitely
simple. You need to have a spiky hair trim with the hair in the back
being much shorter than the layers in front. You will also have to
wear your hair shoulder length past the ears but not beyon the
shoulders. There should be a simple swatch pulled over one eye. This
may seem really funny but do take a look at several pictures of the
Emo style to get the look straight. Girls can also follow the same
style. Or they can pull back their hair from their hair with fun
hair bands and other really great look is to have a fun color on top
and another color on the bottom of long hair and worn as layers.
- Clothing follows a simple rule of black T-shirts with logos on
them. You can pair them with well fitted and really tight drainpipe
jeans. Although brand names are not a part of the Emo style, you can
use a single branded item to set the look. Hoodies and jackets are a
must have too. Dresses for girls are fine but they have to be worn
with hosiery and tights which make it look really great.
- Make up is really funky with red, black and green eyeliners and
eye shadows used to bring out the look. Mascara is also a must have
to bring out the eyes and to make your cheeks look puffier. The only
lipstick acceptable to Emo style is a little clear lip gloss
- Accessories include wonderful colored bands and jewelry, silver
toned rings and bangles, wide bug-eyed glasses, belts and buckles
and small purses.
Even if you do not like the style you have to consider the fact that
it’s trendy and simple. Take a good look at the band members from
popular bands like Green Day to have an idea of what Emo style can be.
